NEW TWECO ELITE MIG GUN REDUCES HAND FATIGUE EASES MAINTENANCE AND USES EXISTING CONSUMABLES
North Bethesda, Md. – Tweco, an ESAB brand, today unveiled the Tweco Elite, its new flagship air-cooled MIG gun that contains high-performance cooling channels with a multi-layered conductor tube designed for better protection from radiant heat. The Tweco Elite has an ergonomic handle with softgrip points, and a two-finger trigger design making it easy to actuate and find a comfortable trigger finger and hand position. Its rear ball joint handle is recessed for more stability and provides increased range of motion. The 450A version has an optional front-end LED light for increased visibility and better weld start performance.
“From its toolless and easy-to-remove 360-degree rotatable conductor tube to the rubber mold handle overlay for reduced welder fatigue, to a rugged yet slim design, the Tweco Elite has all the features that make it our new premier gun,” says John Esposito, Global Product Manager, Tweco Welding Torches. “We listened to welder feedback and delivered a new air-cooled gun that provides operators with greater comfort, durability, performance and productivity.”
The Tweco Elite MIG gun offers maximum performance for all types of air-cooled welding applications. Tweco Elite guns are available in rated outputs of 250A, 350A and 450A at 60% duty cycle with mixed gases and 80% duty cycle with CO2 gas. It adds another premium option for fans of the Tweco Classic gun, as well as those who favor the slim handle provided by the Tweco Spray Master. Cable length options include 10,15, 20 and 25 ft. and backend configurations include Tweco-style, Euro-style and those from other leading brands, making the Tweco Elite suitable for use with almost any wire feeder or integrating welding system.

Elite Features
The Tweco Elite MIG gun comes standard with Tweco heavy-duty front-end parts (11, 14 and 16 series) with the option to use Tweco’s Eliminator-style or VELOCITY2 drop-in style consumables. The gun’s rotatable conductor tube requires no special tools and is easy to remove. Welders can make repairs out in the field without having to worry about special tools, plus there are minimal screws to remove as well as large connection points to speed repair time.
“Users of Tweco products can easily convert to the Tweco Elite without changing consumable styles or wear parts,” adds Esposito. “Further, the design makes it easy to configure to the gun they need, such as options for different tube lengths, tube angles or tips and nozzles for special applications.”
